This weekend I shot stylish QT’s at Pitchfork for Nylon magazine. While shooting, The Fashion Magazine stopped me and took MY picture. Pretty cool weekend running into friends, making a few new ones, and seeing some good bands.

I rented a U-haul last month at a location that was attached to an antique store. It was a pink palace run by a woman named Rose. She was sweet enough to let me come in with some friends and hang out for a day. This is what we came up with.

I just got back from a rad trip with friends! We drove from LA to Baja. This is what I did.

March was a brutal extension of winter, but hey it’s Chicago so it’s not really worth complaining about. Instead of getting down, and fantasizing about Baja I walked around to different bodegas in my neighborhood, gathered some things from each place and made some new work. Cheetos and pineapples. I don’t know man, but I had fun.

I recently did a shoot for VNDL magazine. COLOR, COLOR, COLOR! I love it! It was loosely inspired by Mod fashion, and my love for collage. I think it looks pretty cool. Sasha Hodges killed it at styling, as did Jenna Baltes with hair and makeup.

I got a frantic call from a close friend while I was on set. She had a kidney stone, was scared, and in excruciating pain. We got a friend to pedal as fast as he could from his job downtown to drive her to the hospital. After work I rushed over, but not before getting the largest pizza in all of Chicago. If I was in the hospital, loopy on meds, scared, and in pain I thought that’s what I would want! Good choice Durkin! This is Nico, she’s recovering after all the fun we had in the hospital:)
