DADCATION
This week my dad rode his motorcycle from Buffalo to Chicago to visit, and it turned into a dadcation for everyone. I love sharing my dad, hes so rad everyone should experience it. We took our bikes on small trips and showed him the city, museums, hiking, airplane graveyards, art shows, steak dinners all day every day, boats, tasty freeze every night, and more riding. It was pretty amazing having him for over a week, the world stopped, no work, no emails, just soaked up as much dad time as I could. When it was time for my dad to head back to Buffalo, I didn’t want to see him leave so I rode half way back with him. Took my bike on a ferry and camped on Kelly’s island in Ohio. A good friend of mines parents have a horse farm there, so I camped in their front yard, and saw what Kellys island had to offer at night. It was a small quiet island that turned into Margaretaville at night. To that I say HELL YEAH. Better believe I made the most of it, danced with locals and drank beer, and shots from strawberries. A few Kelly’s island concoctions later, I realized the bartender was feeding teens booze, grown women in flip flops and short denim skirts are grinding on the dance floor, and we’re actually listening to a cover band sing dinosaur jr. Such a great end to a trip.
